We coach newcomer recreational sports people right through to elite competitive athletes.

Our clients are women and men of all ages, who enjoy the disciplines of swimming, cycling (including time trial) and/or running, so therefore triathlon! With the  majority of our clients being cyclists.

While we predominantly do coach online, if you are in Victoria, you can speak to us about training in person. There are also opportunities to travel and compete at events with your coach.

Absolutely! At Watts Up Coaching we cater to all skill levels. Our training program is personalised to suit your individual needs and goals.

No, we can coach you using heart rate (HR) and/or ‘rate of perceived exertion’ (RPE).

Using a power meter is more accurate than training with RPE or HR alone, however you can always commence your program with us and progress to a power meter later if you decide you want one.

No, we have coached athletes who don’t have an indoor trainer at all. As long as you can train consistently (which means riding in the dark and the wet if in Vic) you don’t need one. An indoor trainer is a great tool for maximising your time and effort as sometimes it’s more time efficient, or appealing when it’s raining cats and dogs outside.

No, you don’t have to be part of a club to be coached by us, however it is good thing to be part of a club that is active in your sport. Most club memberships give you the benefit of insurance, and being insured while you are out training and racing is a real advantage as well as the social element of being part of a club.

Yes, we specialize in supporting people get ready to achieve their dreams and challenges. Stef has ridden Amy’s, The Melbourne to Warrnambool, Paris Roubaix and Tour of Flanders sportifs. He has ridden in all states in Australia (except the NT), and also ridden in Italy, Germany, Austria, France and Belgium. So we know a thing or two about how to prepare for that big adventure.

Yes, we offer one-on-one skills and training coaching. We also meet at O’Mara Cycles in Black Rock  over coffee before and after social rides.

Yes we do. Bright is a big favourite especially with riders who want to train for the 3 Peaks Challenge and the Tour of Bright in December.

We also operate guided tours in Adelaide for the TDU in January and one day adventures in the Bass Hills of Victoria (a lesser known gem that must be experienced!).
